ABT - PT Arsy Buana Travelindo Tbk (ABT/HAJJ) is exploring cooperation with Group Rawda for Hotel and Management (Group Rawda) to strengthen accommodation services to consumers. The exploration is part of the follow-up to ABT's participation in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), in Dubai, March 1-4, 2023.
"In Saudi Arabia we continued our meeting with the Rawda For Hotel and Management Group, which has hotels in Medina and Makkah," said Saipul Bahri, managing director of ABT in a press release on Tuesday (9/5/2023).
He explained that his party is currently negotiating the number of rooms and prices with the Rawda Group. "We are negotiating to be able to take rooms from the Rawda Group, God willing, we have made progress, it's just a matter of time," said Saipul.
He explained that ABT's participation in the ATM event is part of the company's roadshow to maximize preparations for Umrah next season.
Currently, ABT has provided tickets for the July-December 2023 season, where an estimated 4,000 Umrah seats are available from Garuda, Saudia, Oman Air, and Qatar Air. All seats have been contracted and paid for.
"Insha Allah, in the near future we will complete with the addition of Lion Air as part of the preparation for the economical package," Saipul said.
Regarding accommodation preparation, he added, ABT targets to have 1,000 rooms in Mecca and 500 in Medina.
"Alhamdulillah, at this time we have been able to confirm to contract with the Fajrbade2 hotel in Makkah as many as 624 rooms for the 1445 Hijri Umrah season. This contract value has a potential income of around 58 million Saudi Arabian reals or equivalent to Rp 232 billion at an exchange rate of one real equivalent to Rp 4,000," Saipul said.
