JAKARTA – PT Arsy Buana Travelindo (ABT Travel) through the Join Umrah Community (JUC) program again serves Umrah pilgrimages for 429 pilgrims from PT Madinah Iman Wisata (MIW) as the organizer of the Umrah Worship Tour (PPIU) in Jakarta, Wednesday (2/3/2022). The release of the departure of 429 pilgrims was carried out by the Director of Special Hajj and Umrah Development of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Nur Arifin.
Most of the MIW’s pilgrims come from the Solo branch, which usually departs directly from Solo's Adi Sumarno airport. However, because the one gate policy (OGP) is still in effect, the pilgrims will depart from Jakarta.
"This is a commitment from ABT Travel to continue to comply with the OGP policy that has been set by the government," said ABT Travel's President Director Saipul Bahri in an official statement, Monday (7/3/2022).
Saipul explained that before leaving for the Holy Land, Umrah pilgrims would quarantine for one day at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta.
The Ministry of Religion has established the OGP procedure as a policy in organizing the Umrah pilgrimage during the pandemic. The scheme is that every pilgrim who will depart is first collected at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory for quarantine and PCR tests. Likewise, upon returning home, the pilgrim who have completed their Umrah pilgrimage and have returned to their country, underwent quarantine and a PCR test at Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory. With the OGP procedure, the health condition of the congregation can be monitored, and early prevention can be carried out if any pilgrim is infected with the virus.
The continuity of the Umrah business will continue to be maintained, if all parties are disciplined and consistent in implementing health protocol policies and OGP policies," said Saipul.
